What To Do While Waiting For the Cable Person

You can get a lot of knitting done while waiting for the cable person for hours and hours on a Saturday afternoon. In fact, if you knit the whole time you are waiting and then through the evening plus part of your rainy Sunday you may end up with 2/3 of a Picovoli. I'm doing the waist increases now. I've tried it on a couple times as I've gone along and I think this may turn out fantastically. I couldn't get the color right in this picture. The violet is a deep rich purple - think Northwestern University purple:) I'm using KnitPicks Shine (I think it's called Shine Sport now) and I'm very pleased with it.

Friday night I finished up my first Satellite of Love sock (Dublin Bay Sock Pattern -link on the sidebar, Lorna's Laces Strawberry Satellite Stripe). I've done a couple inches of sock #2, but for now it will be on hold until Picovoli is completed.

How do you find such great sock yarns? I always love your choices Alyssa. We should start a list of how much knitting we get done waiting and who allowed us to knit the most.!!! Jury Duty was my all time high for yardage. After that, well, I'd say car trips, then waiting for concerts to begin!
