Yarntastic Day!

So I mentioned on Friday that a bit of sock yarn had entered my home lately. I splurged a bit since it was my birthday. Yeah, that's the perfect excuse. :) Prepare to drool!

(Pick Up Sticks Club and Rockin' Sock Club are the last photos so as to not spoil the surprise for other members).
Duet Skinny from A Swell Yarn Shop in Sailor Girl. Absolutely love this color combination! This is the new thinner sock weight Duet.

Cascade Fixation in Denim (2608) and Chocolate (7382). Adrienne knit a pair of socks with Fixation and brought it to knitting Group. They were so fabulous I want to knit some for myself!

Meilenweit Cotton Fantasy #812 (Blue and Tan) and #803 (Pinks and Browns). This just looked like great cotton sock yarn. It's 45% cotton, 42% wool, and 13% polyamide.

Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks that Rock in Undertoe (Mediumweight).
Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks that Rock in Socktopus (Mediumweight). Absolutely love this color and the name!

Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks that Rock in Foo Foo (Mediumweight).

Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks that Rock in Footzey-Foo (Mediumweight)

2007 Rockin' Sock Club April kit color, Walking on the Wild Tide, using the new base yarn, Silkie - a silk and wool blend. Absolutely stunning color!

And last, but not least the Pick Up Sticks April Sock Club Kit with Zen Yarn Garden in Spring Garden. The perfect spring colors. :)

So, which is your favorite? ;)

It is a tie between Sailor Girl and the Zen Yarn Garden. So beautiful and springy!

I started the STR socks on SAturday, very cute.

Happy Birthday a few days late!

I love 'em all except the Lana Grossa (that is all that I can get here in the shop) and the Fixation :)

But I think I'm totally in love with Sailor Girl :)

Oh, wow, I'm so jealous but I just picked up a bunch of new Cotton this weekend for a cardigan from the Nashua book. My husand calls it Azure Blue but in sunlight it is positively Electric Blue!! I've even swatched already despite my impending Dad's birthday socks being due on Thursday!

I LOVE the color combo on the Duets! And, since I have a bunch of the other stuff you posted...teehee.

I have to say that I wasn't completely happy with the Silky, until I opened the package and felt the yarn! I am about done with one of the toes and will try out the pattern on the leg, but I doubt that I will keep knitting the pattern.

Oooh, I've been lusting after the Socktopus since it went up, and now seeing yours...well, shoot, I HAVE to have one of my own!! It's gorgeous!! I am so weak for STR. :-)

And yeah, thanks for the yarn porn!

Wow you have some lovely yarns there. I love the names of the yarn too :-) It's nice when you can spoil yourself with yarn purchases on your birthday. I look forward to seeing them all knitted up :-)
