Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

The first three years we were together, Matt and I never got to celebrate Valentine's Day on the 14th. Matt was a waiter then and could never get the night off so we would always go out on the 13th instead. It's nice now that those days are over and we can now enjoy ourselves on Valentine's Day. I know some view it as a commercial holiday, but I'm a sucker for it. Bring on the candy hearts and flowers! Matt and I are going to go out to a little French bistro tonight and we'll exchange presents too. How are all of you celebrating?

For the curious, the yarn is Vesper Self-Striping in Ramblin' Rose, the final Sweet Sheep Sock Club yarn.

John is coming up to take me to lunch. We don't usually do much because both our birthdays are in a week.

My son gave me a box of candy at 5am this morning, and my daughter brought me breakfast in bed (a hard boiled egg). Which of course meant that they wanted their gifts this morning.

That's so sweet Alyssa, us "old marrieds" have to live vicariously through you "newlywedders". Enjoy your V day & I can't wait to see what you're working on at our next Group!

Enjoy your Valentine's Day together. I'm not much of a romantic but my husband is - I'm making him a special dinner. He always gets me a huge box of chocolates and even eats them for me!

My dad is always away for work over valentines so I spend it with my mom!
